Gen AI is rapidly redefining negotiation. Not by replacing negotiators, but by transforming preparation, analysis, and competitive dynamics. In this course, you will learn how to operate effectively in negotiations where both sides may be using AI to gain an edge.

You’ll explore how Gen AI accelerates preparation, enabling deeper counterparty analysis, scenario modeling, and more precise positioning. You’ll learn how to recognize when the other side is using AI, and how to adapt your strategy accordingly. The course also covers how to manage biases (both your own and those introduced by AI!) and how to maintain flexibility instead of becoming overly reliant on pre-built scenarios. Beyond preparation, you’ll learn how to apply Gen AI across the full negotiation lifecycle, including debriefing, multiparty complexity, and long-term skill development. You’ll also define ethical and strategic boundaries for AI use in high-stakes situations. What makes this course unique is its focus on negotiation as a competitive system shaped by AI. By the end, you will be able to negotiate with greater precision, awareness, and adaptability in an AI-augmented world.

To access the course materials, assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience when you enroll in a course. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid. The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead.
