Success in academic and professional settings depends on being able to understand and use hedging effectively. In this module, you will learn how to identify hedging in both spoken and written contexts and describe how it helps authors and speakers sound more credible. You will also strengthen your communication by practicing hedging in your own persuasive arguments. You will study new words, read articles, watch videos, and practice your new skills through a summary-response task.

Throughout this course, you have been studying the three components of Aristotle's Triangle of Persuasion: logic, credibility, and emotion . In this module, you will review these components and how they work together. You will also strengthen your communication skills in your own persuasive argument. You will study new words, read articles, watch videos, and apply your skills in persuasion.
