This course uses an organised, module-based methodology to impart a fundamental understanding of environmental science. Environmental Pollution introduces the main contaminants, their sources, health effects, and global views at the start of the program. After that, it moves on to Social Issues and Environment, where students study global case studies that highlight the connections between environmental problems, pollution, and human health. Ecosystem structure, nutrient cycle, energy flow, and vital ecosystem services are all covered in the third module, Ecosystems. Building on this, the Biodiversity and Conservation module presents planetary boundaries, biome integrity, community ecology, and biodiversity principles. The last module, Climate Change and Environment, introduces students to global consequences, anthropogenic and natural sources of climate change, climatic processes, and the fundamentals of adaptation and mitigation.
Lecture videos and carefully chosen readings from reputable scientific sources are combined in the pedagogy.
The primary topics covered in this course will include ecosystems, biodiversity and conservation, climate change, pollution, and sustainability. Additionally, case studies on environmental pollution and community health will be covered in this course. This module will discuss the background of environment, its pollution, sources of pollution, health impacts on human and animals, various domains of environmental pollution, and the regulatory guidelines for environmental pollution.

The basic ideas of ecosystems and how they relate to environmental change are examined in this lesson. Students will study how essential ecosystem services are supported by important processes like energy flow, nitrogen cycle, and biodiversity. The subject equips students with the fundamental knowledge of how ecosystems react to both natural and man-made changes, enabling them to evaluate ecological dynamics in a world that is changing.
