The Six Sigma Green Belt operates in support of or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt. As a Six Sigma Green Belt, you will analyze and solve quality problems. You will also be involved in quality improvement projects. A Green Belt is someone with at least three years of work experience and who wants to demonstrate their knowledge of Six Sigma tools and processes.

To appear for the ASQ-certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) exam, you require three years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge (BoK).

Each certification candidate is required to pass an examination that consists of multiple-choice questions that measure comprehension of the Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge.

The computer-delivered exam has 110 questions, out of which 10 questions are pretest questions that will not be scored, whereas the paper-and-pencil exam has 100 questions.
