These courses go beyond the foundations of deep learning to give you insight into the nuances of applying AI to medical use cases. As a learner, you will be set up for success in this program if you are already comfortable with some of the math and coding behind AI algorithms. You don't need to be an AI expert, but a working knowledge of deep neural networks, particularly convolutional networks, and proficiency in Python programming at an intermediate level will be essential. The instructor is excellent. I knocked it down a star for the finicky auto-grader. Would love to have had a fourth week that showed how to re-train a previously trained system.

I​t's a wonderful intro to the medical diagnosis using DL technologies and this course provides the detailed application in the lab session, which helps a lot to the understanding of the theory.

I first took Deep Learning Specialization by Andrew and then took NLP specialization by Younes Mourri and then this course. One difference I noticed that Andrew explained all the stuff by himself in detailed 8-10 min video and here these in these two coursers, the two instructor explained concept in 1-2 min video and left the remaining concept to learned by ourselves through notebooks. Andrew put much more effort than these two guys.

Did a good job of explaining some of the terms and processes involved in using AI for medical diagnosis, but the flow and organization of the course were really poor and the methods taught were not general enough to be able to extrapolate to use in new ways outside of the course.

This course is a waste of time and money. I had to pay to enroll because I do not have Coursera Plus. I went through the entire course in a matter of a day. The videos did not have enough detail/information and things were not explained clearly. On top of that there are "labs" that cannot be done unless you "upgrade" your Coursera to Plus. This means that I have to spend even more money to complete this course and get a certificate. I do not think its worth all the money that I had to spend on this course. Also, I do not have access to the discussion forum to ask for help with this course. So I was forced to write a review and rate it. I have taken so many courses on here that gives you certificate and never reviewed them because they were perfect. This is a course that is frustrating. I wish I could finish it without having to upgrade my Coursera so I could earn the certificate. I only have three more items to complete but I guess I will have to just leave it as it is.
