The course covered basics of other topics such as python and dataframes, which are related, but not explicitly pyspark-specific. I also found the lecturer to be un-enthusiastic in their teaching style, most of the videos were just the lecturer reading from the slides and saying "like" or "right?" a lot, which was very distracting. The "hands on" portion was just watching the lecturer on a video go through motions very quickly without truly linking concepts together. I use pyspark in databricks and was hoping to elevate my use of it through this course. The only redeeming quality was the reading materials which I found helpful, but you could honestly just get that from the Apache Spark or Databricks help pages instead of here.

content was much more theoretical than expected more hands on experience for the learner would have been more engaging and fun.

This course was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. The instructor relied heavily on verbal fillers and repetitive phrases such as "like", "kind of," "pretty much," "so on and so forth", and frequently ended thoughts with "right?" This poor and unfocused delivery made it nearly impossible to glean any concrete information. By the end, almost nothing of substance was actually taught. It is an embarrassment that a course of this subpar quality is offered, and I would strongly advise against it for anyone looking to gain practical skills or real knowledge.

Too much theory and hardly any discussion on implementation.
