This comprehensive course provides an in-depth exploration of the rapidly evolving field of digital health data systems, equipping learners with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the complex digital landscape of modern healthcare. This course is designed for healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, and allied health), IT and data managers entering healthcare, public health officials focused on ethical data principles, digital health entrepreneurs, compliance officers, legal teams, clinical researchers, data analysts, and medical device or pharmaceutical professionals handling regulated health data and connected devices. It provides essential knowledge for using digital data effectively in clinical settings and navigating the complexities of privacy, security, and interoperability. This course is designed for a diverse group of individuals, including healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, allied health professionals) eager to gain insights into digital health data, as well as IT and data managers transitioning into healthcare or supporting digital health systems. It is also suitable for public health officials applying ethical data principles in population health management, digital health entrepreneurs developing apps or platforms within regulated healthcare environments, and compliance officers or legal teams ensuring privacy, security, and interoperability. Clinical researchers, data analysts working with patient data, and professionals from the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors managing regulated health data will also find this course valuable. The course requires basic computer literacy. Familiarity with healthcare environments or systems, such as EHRs, hospital workflows, or medical terminology, is beneficial but not mandatory. A curiosity about digital transformation in healthcare is encouraged, and no prior coding or engineering experience is needed.
