I had 3 years experience on agency side and still the course was very useful for me to catch up more in-depth on SEO, SEM, Email-marketing and E-commerce. Course has a lot of practical activities which are usually done in the way that not require more than 1 hour. Also there is a great part about tips of doing resume and going through interviews which are super useful and giving cofidence in future steps for moving into career. Strongly recommend this course, the format is very convinient: mixed type of content: video, text, practice. Video are 5-6 min tops, very on point. The only thing I would like to have is the Content list in PDF of all Courses and lessons in them with Skills acquired, helps to organize the information a lot. Thank you for this course Google and Coursera, a lot of value for the price!
I love the flow thru the all of the courses. Maybe Google.coursera can create a book for each course on PDF that people can download that hass all the videos transcripts, readings, etc.. That way peopl can keep it a a reference for the future.
The e-commerce section focused too much on shopify...
This course needs to be reworked. There wasn't a whole lot of unique information in it, although in-and-of-itself that's probably fine since this course set should be building up to one coherent understanding of Digital Marketing & E-Commerce; not every section can (or should be) tuned to perfectly equal lengths. There is simply room to optimize the delivery within and across these courses (especially given that you're asking for 7 months of the students' time). My main point of frustration is that one of the modules here was dedicated to resume building and interview prep. In my opinion, this is irrelevant to both "Developing Customer Loyalty" specifically and "Digital Marketing & E-Commerce" generally. Instead, this should have been relegated to a link in one final, optional reading e.g. "Additional Resources on Pursuing Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Careers." This was compounded by the fact that after the capstone, peer-reviewed portfolio project, there was one final low value, pedantic quiz. Just a bizarre and overall poor experience for closing out the certificate. I would recommend the course runners revisit what they want students to get out of the quizzes and to rework questions that only seem to gauge exact memorization of specific lines from the week's content.
There were so may repetitions throughout the course and with so many tools in every chapter which were only superficially taught lead to confusion. Even after completing whole series of course, i feel like i only know the basics of theory and no tool in depth which i could showcase as my strength.

Google calls digital advertising "marketing." The entire program is learning how to spend money to advertise using Google's platforms. They never once mention the 4 P's of marketing. Everything here falls under the promotional "P". It should be called digital advertising or digital promotions. And there are many ways other than advertising, that businesses use to promote their goods and services. Now that I have completed the program, Coursera won't give me my Badge. Very frustrating, to say the least!
