This is the third course in the Google People Management Essentials specialization. This course dives into the heart of great management: developing your people. Drawing from Google's research on the behaviors of their best managers, learners will build critical skills around coaching and giving feedback. You will learn and practice effective coaching techniques and apply powerful feedback frameworks like the Situation-Behavior-Impact (SBI) model. Learners will also explore strategies for conducting meaningful performance reviews and navigating difficult conversations. By the end of this course, you will: - Identify effective coaching techniques to support your team members' career growth. - Apply the Situation-Behavior-Impact (SBI) model to deliver clear and constructive feedback. - Describe strategies for preparing for and conducting effective performance reviews. - Identify methods for navigating difficult conversations with team members. - Explore ways to ask for and receive upward feedback to improve your own performance.
