This is the second course in the Google People Management Essentials specialization. In this course, learners will focus on a manager's responsibility to deliver results. You will learn the mechanics of effective team execution, from setting a clear vision to empowering your team to succeed. Learners will explore practical strategies for goal setting, like the SMART framework, and get hands-on experience using AI to draft and refine goals. You will also learn how to leverage tools like Gemini to prepare for effective check-ins, and increase alignment to achieve ambitious results.

By the end of this course, you will: - Develop clear and motivating team goals using frameworks like SMART. - Use AI tools to develop and refine goals. - Identify methods for communicating goals and expectations effectively. - Explore different approaches for allocating work to team members based on their strengths, interests, and development needs. - Recognize how to provide the necessary time, tools, and resources to enable your team to achieve its goals.
