The companion text is not required to complete the assignments. However, the text is a recognized handbook used by professionals in the field. this is terrible. the sound is inconsistent. the deck looks 20 years old and poorly done even by those standards. the speakers are not well-trained, stumbling over words, pausing for long periods as if they are reading the script, and not speaking clearly. if i had paid for this course by itself, I would have requested a refund.
