This is an exceptional course. I recommend it to anyone who wants to do bookkeeping as a career, or someone who is starting as an accountant.

This was a very important course. I find it difficult to remember all the ratio's. But other than that the course was good!

I really like the wrap up that was done in this course! All the notes of things that I was 'missing' was taken care of here. However, there are some Issues. Module 2: Interpreting the Income Statement – They have inserted interpreting the Cash Flow Statement here, despite the header. I thought Income Statement would be where Cash Flow was – but it was not, just Cash Flow in the correct spot. This is a major error as people new to bookkeeping would really benefit from the review. I would like to have seen a bit more of Cash Flow. Like defining Operating Activities. Would the loans the bank provides be under investments or Operating? Leasing companies, etc. Discussion on Audit Trail. It is mentioned in reports, but never really touched. They do discuss components, principles and real world examples (document retention, JE descriptions, etc. But a discussion on this would be very helpful. Having had to reconcile Subsystems (job costs, A/P, A/R, etc) doing the two step correction (reverse and correct entry) leaves a much better trail – and may save you a lot of time down the road. Especially if allocations between projects are taking place... Another Item to add would be the actual closing entries that are done at the end of the year. They are mentioned, and I believe one of them was actually shown – but showing all of them together might be a good way to wrap things up. Reconciliation Tip: Mention that if you can divide your difference in a reconcilliation by 9, it may very well be a transposition. An example of issues throughout the four courses are: Inventory Turn Ratio calculation instruction: The speaker said it was calculated as Total Purchases / Average Inventory, but the slide says CoGS/Average Inventory. The slide is correct. I love that they cover emailing customers. The guidelines are simple and 100% gold. In the day and age of texting and social media, its very easy to be to causal / not use proper grammar OR provide a wall of text. Great cover!

I found this to be a challenge that I needed and also very informative. I felt engaged by how it was taught as well. I remove one star for accessibility problems, but I feel that this course was very much worth my time, and I am actually sorry to have finished. I've taken all four of the classes in this bookkeeping specialization and have them all completed, and I will say with full honesty that I enjoyed them as much as or more than most of the courses I took years ago during college. I'm looking forward to having the chance to put this new knowledge to use on the job.

Overall the best of the 4 courses in the specialization. 1 or 2 errors are still present, however. All 4 courses should be reviewed by Intuit and the mistakes and errors corrected along with clearer and less repetitive Quiz questions. These courses still manage to get the information across and if you pay attention you will be able to catch the errors with the help of the information that's already in the course material!

The course definitely helped to enhance my knowledge of bookkeeping and key accounting principals. I feel prepared to complete bookkeeping and accounting tasks utilizing bookkeeping software. While higher proficiency will come with experience, I believe that course takers could benefit from more practice within the course, especially on concepts that require applying formulas and using inductive reasoning.

The course is very helpful and informative. For some later projects in the Excel document I would have appreciated a video or at least separate document explaining how the answers were arrived at, having a demonstration further guide the learning experience. Otherwise, the course provides enough notes and challenging opportunity to calculate to get your feet wet with the process.

The course is great to teach yourself bookkeeping skills. However, the case study assignments all had errors in them which is frustrating and it's not possible to score fully on them. Otherwise, the material and the way it is presented in an interesting manner with real life examples are good for first time learners to get a head start.

I learned a lot from this course. My only request for improvement would be if you could download the filled out spreadsheets from the case studies after taking each unit exam. If I got some numbers wrong or mixed up, I'd like to be able to see where I made the errors to learn.

I really enjoyed most of the course but the end case study needs to be revised. Several mistakes, and no explanation as to what the correct answer actually is. In a true education process letting your students know how they made a mistake helps them improve.
