I really was excited about this course, and am doing my best to finish it, but the issues I list below make it challenging. I will say that I skipped ahead after the second course to the AI courses out of frustration with the content and clarity of the product management courses, and the AI courses in this series, while not perfect or completely free from the feedback I list below, are far superior in quality in comparison to the product management courses - so much so that it makes the series feel disjointed. It’s not that the material is challenging or that the pace is too fast (I’ve successfully completed several tech boot camps and hold 2 advanced degrees), it’s just that the culmination of issues make it very hard to feel it is a good use of my time when there are so many options to choose from. I debated writing a detailed review, but I did in hopes that if the course gets an overhaul this feedback be taken into consideration to enhance the learning opportunity for others in the future. The irony of an educational product focusing on AI and product management, being taught by product managers, yet having so many quality issues is not lost on me, but the instructors put forth a valiant effort in bringing these two focuses into a course, and that effort is appreciated. Still, it feels a bit disingenuous given there are already product management and AI certificates, so combining them feels more like an attempt to create a captivating product title and reinvigorate the product management course, which is in need of an update. To expand on the quality issues: - The narration is probably the biggest obstacle to quality learning. The cadence is simplistic and lacks any real humanistic delivery. Additionally the pauses between sentences, concepts, and thoughts is sparse to none. In the instructor videos the experience and knowledge are apparent and translate well to the topics being discussed (particularly referring to Upkar and Stephanie, who displayed a keen understanding of the role and provided very real world examples and insights). This is completely lacking in the other videos, which feel more like a paid narrator reading a text book or script. - Typos, errors, incorrect narration, etc. The amount of these errors were a bit staggering given the team had multiple quality analysts. Simple things like 2 or 3 words bunched together in assignments and quizzes to the incorrect name and credentials being displayed for instructors on videos (I believe it was Matt’s name being displayed for Dan in one of the videos in the second course). Quality issues happen, and as a PM I work tirelessly to partner with my quality team and do a load of testing myself because I genuinely care about the product, the brand, and, frankly, my reputation. While this is one of the more minor reasons for my 2 star rating, I think these issues should be addressed at some point. - Cohesiveness and completeness of the materials as well are some of the issues I really struggled with. The most basic concepts are repeated ad nauseam (listen to the customer, hear their pain points, etc) but other advanced concepts are completely glossed over ( ex: the importance of conducting a SWOT analysis was emphasized multiple times yet the details of a SWOT analysis were less than 1 min in a 5 min video. If I didn’t have educational background in business I wouldn’t have been able to follow along). The opportunity is also lost several times to reinforce key terms by repetition as the narrator skips the header and reads just the text below, forcing the learner to take their attention away from the words and read the header. It all happens so abruptly that it becomes a distraction. Finally, the course quizzes ask questions not covered in the content, but many of the answers can be derived from deduction and logic. While I appreciate the opportunity to exercise these skills I found it to be somewhat off putting given the other issues. Overall, this course has been a challenge given the issues listed above, and I’ve found more value in reading a few books or from other courses on the topics, but I think there is value to be found here, especially if the course gets an overhaul and the issues I listed are addressed. Still, seeing it for what it is instead of what it could be, there are better options for you to invest your time in that may not combine these topics but will give you a better understanding of them individually.

To many repeated information. The question and answers were not challenging. Sometimes the choices were too unrelated that you don't need to watch the videos to pass the exam. I was expecting the course to of Master's program level. Live Carnegie Mellon Product Management program. If you are advising people to get certified from AIPMM, what is the purpose of this course. People started this course to get certified after completion of this course. Is this course not professional enough to be recognized or trusted by others? I felt sometimes, the experts themselves weren't answering the questions properly, they were just saying something or same thing repeatedly. Are all the Coursera courses like this? Noncompetitive and non-challenging and easy bar for anyone to come and get certificate? Looks like Coursera needs a better Product Manager to improve their product.

The quiz provided are oversimplified with obvious answers, you don't really need to go through the course material to get most of it right. In the assignments given, it was good practice, however no real feedback from provided solutions. I relied on external assistant like AI chats to compare answers. The videos were okay, but not great, there could have been a better effort in delivering the idea more clearly. This is a course on product management which seems to push the idea of critical thinking, however- it seems the team did little to apply any critical thinking when designing the assignments or otherwise. This is an open loop course with little feedback

Kindly understand that the audio in the videos are too fast, this course is for beginners and its very difficult to learn as audio super fast and if we try to reduce the speed to 0.75 it will be come super slow, and 1 seems to be bit fast, You need to fix this. As a beginner we need to read and understand and comfortable speed!! Not too fast nor too slow !!

The amount of unstructured information and jumping through the opinions of IBM employees is making the course unbelievably hard to pursue due to the excess unnecessary information that consume too much time with so few benefits

I believe this class is pretty basic and not challenging. I haven't learned a major concept or anything that will make me a good product manager. I get that it is an intro class, but I could have spared myself some time here.

Basic and theoretical in nature, lackluster subject matter experts, and poorly produced videos with low audio volume of certain speakers.

The voiceover in the videos is extremely difficult to follow. It sounds unnatural and speaks far too quickly, ignoring conceptual breaks and proper punctuation. I have completed Google courses in the past without any issues, but the audio quality here forced me to skip the videos entirely and rely solely on reading the transcripts and descriptions to study. The videos are practically unusable in their current state.
