The course itself is absolutely great! The problem is that (in my view) Coursera presents the course as one that can be audited for free, then, after you've completed unit 1, you're presented with a demand to pay to continue. To me this smacks of bait and switch and, in my case (I'm a retired lifelong learner), and for others, it makes the course either impractical or unaffordable. This is unfortunate because, for everyone, understanding AI, a force that will up end all our lives in almost every way in the near term is critical, either to cope with it as a citizen/consumer, etc, or to prepare to compete in an AI centric job market.

I learned next to nothing in this class and although I put in effort, I can't understand code. Since the fact about programming wasn't mentioned in the course catalog, I wasted valuable time that could have been spent on other courses. When I finally completed the course, I thought I'd at least get a certificate--as I've done in my other 21 courses. But even though the catalog says certificates are available for this course, I was told that wasn't true. What was it I paid for?
