This course takes a deep dive into the statistical foundation upon which data analytics is built. The first part of this course will help you to thoroughly understand your dataset and what the data actually means. Then, it will go into sampling including how to ask specific questions about your data and how to conduct analysis to answer those questions.
Many of the mistakes made by data analysts today are due to a lack of understanding the concepts behind the tests they run, leading to incorrect tests or misinterpreting the results. At first, when I enrolled I thought the course was going to be a statistics course with applications in the MKT field, however, I found the course kind of confussing. Explanations were not accurate and any of the content presented was well designed for students to understand it.
could have included more practical examples
There's only so much time for one course, but this one was so foundational some of the concepts covered were actually wrong due to omission. At least admit every time when gross simplification is used or learners will think this is how the world is.
it needs excerises to tackle what we learn
This instructor was so clear, and his enthusiasm was so evident, that he made it fun to take the course without anxiety. In other courses, I have sometimes not known how to find the information that was on the final assessment but wasn't easy to discover in the videos, but in this case, the pacing was fabulous. As a medical writer and translator, as well as a knowledge technology developer, I've worked with people who understood statistics deeply, but this is the first course in Statistics I've taken that made me feel like I have a solid grasp of the foundation, even though I realize there is a lot more to the subject.
I liked the course overall,. My only problem was with using tableau. There wasn't a "practice" page for the class to use tableau., and I since I'm not sure I'll have to use it again for the certificate program, I opted to figure out how to do things in Excel. I guess I'm saying I would've like a practice page for Tableau, that didn't involve creating a separate account.
I totally enjoyed it. It helped me see concepts that I knew in another different light. The fact that these concepts were tied to real-world use cases made the course more practical. And it was delivered at just the right pace with a great Capstone project to complete the course. 100% recommend!!!
This was an amazing overview of many topics that deal with data science. Knowing the material is relevant and what is actually used in the professional world really assures that this was worth the time investment.

Statistics for Marketing has to be one of the best courses so far, mostly because it has been the most challenging, taking my knowledge and application of Statistical Analytics to the next level.
Honestly, the speaker explains everything so well, that anyone starting from scratch can grasp it. Highly recommend it for begginers, or for someone like me, that is refreshing their knowledge.
