Project Management Project

This capstone course enables you to apply the project management knowledge and tools developed throughout the Specialization by producing a coherent set of core planning deliverables for a project of your choice or a provided case study. You will draft a narrative project charter statement, define scope through a work breakdown structure (WBS), sequence activities, and develop an integrated schedule and budget. You will also clarify team roles using a responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) and identify key project risks with appropriate response strategies. The course emphasizes independent research and practical decision-making, with capstone deliverables evaluated through AI‑graded assessments aligned to the course rubric. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Develop a narrative project charter statement that defines purpose, objectives, scope boundaries, and key stakeholders. - Create a work breakdown structure (WBS) that decomposes project scope into manageable deliverables and work packages. - Sequence project activities by identifying dependencies and logical relationships among tasks. - Build a project schedule using activity durations, sequencing, and milestones to produce a feasible timeline. - Create a project budget by estimating costs and aligning them to the WBS and schedule. - Create a responsibility assignment matrix (RAM) that clarifies roles, ownership, and accountability for project work. - Identify project risks and define appropriate response strategies (e.g., avoid, mitigate, transfer, accept) aligned to risk exposure.

The course content is concise and easy to understand, but I love it should have further examples and explaination on the techniques and tools, especially for the Risk course.

Excellent course to cap off the learnings in the three project management courses. Practical utility and applications to real-life projects help lock-in the learnings from the courses.

IT was great to have a chance to put what the previous courses taught to practice. It made sure you actually knew what the material was talking about rather than just regurgitating the slides.

An extremely thorough treatment of the initial stages of the Project Management process, which in many cases is the most important! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend it to everyone!

Thank you for a well thought out course and fun learning experience. The only thing i could think of to add to the course would be more examples of the documents needed to create.

Excellent summation of preceding courses. Peer review was particularly helpful in comparitively evaluating your own project and how one can improve their use of these tools. Very good course.
