课程概述

In this course, you’ll use software development tools like HTML to build attractive web pages that work well—and you’ll use structured semantic data to control how websites appear to the end user. You will then dive deeper into CSS by applying increasingly specific styling to various elements. You’ll learn to use Bootstrap’s grid system to create layouts and work with components and themes. Finally, you’ll explore debugging and learn how it can be utilized to banish common front-end errors. By the end of this course you will be able to: • Create a simple form with a responsive layout using HTML5 and CSS • Create a responsive layout using CSS • Create a UI using Bootstrap • Implement debugging tools This is a beginner course for learners who would like to prepare themselves for a career in front-end development. To succeed in this course, you do not need prior development experience, only basic internet navigation skills and an eagerness to get started with coding....

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the Meta and Coursera for this Course. I am impressed with the efficient delivery of this course.

The course is in detail. Very engaging, not at all boring, lab works give a good idea of concepts taught, gains practical implementation and confidence.

I rated this course 3 out of 5. The videos are fine, but the transcripts need to be corrected. Actually the labs are very great sources of learning. But the course became disappointing to me when reaching the peer-graded portfolio project. Some of the peers just gave me 0 for the obvious question such as if I used the project provided by the instructor, and I chose the project that the instructor didn't use as a case study (in this course, they use a restaurant as a case study). The grading became ugly in my opinion as the peer obviously showed that they didn't even hover their mouse over my homepage. I almost gave up on the entire course because of this incident. If it happens again in the next course, I think I have to stop learning with Meta.

The course content is useful but basic. Some advanced and quite complex topics are only covered by readings, and I would prefer to have videos diving into them. The presentation of the course videos could be improved. The instructor has weird, aggressive intonations. For several assessment questions throughout the course, the answers that are labeled as correct are actually incorrect. There are typos in the reading texts and the lab code stubs. In some cases, instructions for the labs are poorly formulated. The overall impression is that the course just needs more care and quality control.

I would give this course a higher score, but the quizzes/graded opportunities were frankly terribly provided. Nearly every single quiz had an issue where the correct answers were incorrectly marked, I had to go to the discussion forums to see what the answers would be that would allow me to move on. I'm not sure if humans were involved in creating or testing that the quizzes worked, but for the cost of the course I would expect that issues are caught before publishing or addressed *immediately*. I reported many of them and have yet to have a reply on any report.

The final project did not reflect what was learned throughout the course and the instruction was poor on how to incorporate the required elements. The instructional video on how to position elements for the final project did not work so the learner was left on an island to figure out advanced CSS layout structure and "guess" their way through the most important project of the course.

Overall the course is very good and teaches a lot of good material. My biggest problem comes with the practice tests. The majority of the questions are very ambiguous and vague. Making it extremely hard to understand what the actual question should be. This is especially difficult when it comes to multiple choice questions that have no clear "right" answer.

This course aims to increase the knowledge of HTML and CSS, however, CSS animation and debugging didn't cover that much, especially debugging. There is a lack of assignments, and most of the time only requests to finish tests, it totally relies on users to self-study for extra through other platforms.

The final project is not clear enough. The rubric is different from what's requested. The peer review is not correctly done. Some of the peers actually read the description and grade accordingly but the rubric switch yes and no answers so peers dont care about it.

Many useful concepts are introduced in the course. However, there are few practical project between topics making the final project of the course a little bit overwhelming.

Course has some nice basic knowledge, really bad grading system - you need to wait until someone else in course will review the assignment which can take a lot of time

This was a course I was greatly looking forward to but alas it was subpar. There seems to be content missing as you get to the end of the course. The final project has very little support and unless you are very familiar with CSS, you need to do much of your learning on your own. The uploading of your project is frustrating and the feedback is impossible to give in the format of submission. There is mention of a portfolio, but no instructions anywhere about this. Unfortunately, this course has many areas of improvement needed and has by far been the worst within the certificate so far, which is sad because it was the course I was looking so forward to taking.

I didn't like the course. First of all, I don't like the presenter's manner of speaking. She emphasizes one or more words in each sentence with intonation (raising her voice), but it's not an important word worth emphasizing, just random words. This is very distracting and doesn't allow you to focus on the meaning of the phrase. Also, the course covers a lot of information, but only superficially. As a result, you get a lot of information, but you can't remember it all and connect the dots.

The course should provide a deep understandings and knowledge but unfortunately it doesn't. The instructor is way too fast like news anchoring, can not able to grasp and connect with the content.

Filled with pointless trivia and irritating "gotcha" questions. Fixates too much on memorizing details which will all be changed in 5 years, without teaching you anything about how to figure these things out on your own.
