How is this course different from a standard React course?

Standard React courses teach component-based development with JavaScript. This course focuses on scaling React with TypeScript, introducing compile-time checks, type safety, and strict project structure to build production-ready apps.

Does the course cover React hooks with TypeScript?

Yes. You’ll learn how to use TypeScript with core hooks (useState, useEffect, useRef, useContext) as well as advanced hooks (useReducer, useMemo, useCallback). You’ll also create custom hooks with strong typing.

This foundation ensures you can focus on applying TypeScript effectively in frontend projects.

No. You only need basic React experience (e.g., building simple components) and familiarity with TypeScript basics like types and classes. The course builds on this foundation, showing you how to apply TypeScript to real-world React workflows.

You will primarily work with React and TypeScript, along with UI libraries such as Material UI, Chakra UI, and Styled Components. Development will be done using npm, Vite, and Visual Studio Code.

To access the course materials, assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience when you enroll in a course. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid. The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead. This option lets you see all course materials, submit required assessments, and get a final grade. This also means that you will not be able to purchase a Certificate experience.
