This course begins with how systems are actually being compromised - exploring various password attack techniques, system hacking tools, and traversing the diversity of malware.

You'll learn how malware spreads, the different kinds of viruses and worms, the difference between a virus and a worm, what trojans are, the best defense mechanisms, etc. It also covers network sniffing, types of sniffing attacks, weak protocols, and the impact of ARP poisoning on the network's health. After that, you'll explore fundamental network security and bypass, including firewall types and uses, IDS categories, and how honeypots can help you uncover malicious activity. IoT Security comes next, covering what IoT is, its architecture, and how connected devices are attacked. In the end, you’ll have learned to deconstruct threats, assess systems & networks for weaknesses, and put those skills to securing today’s systems. This ethical hacking course is ideal for aspiring cybersecurity experts, ethical hackers, IT specialists, and anybody who wants to understand how modern networks are attacked and defended.

There are no precise requirements, although having a basic understanding of networking concepts and general IT expertise will be beneficial. The course is designed to take you through both theoretical & practical aspects of network security.

This course provides an immersive experience, with hands-on demos, real-world examples, and a detailed discussion of modern attack techniques. It also covers advanced issues such as IoT security and malware neutralization, making it distinctive and relevant in today's cybersecurity market.

To access the course materials, assignments and to earn a Certificate, you will need to purchase the Certificate experience when you enroll in a course. You can try a Free Trial instead, or apply for Financial Aid. The course may offer 'Full Course, No Certificate' instead.
