Information on quizzes sometimes does not correspond to material previously covered (comes from future material instead). Material on quizzes has more to do with unimportant details about trainings (to prove you listened to their exact videos) than about skills that you need for the workplace. The types of graphs presented were often given without a usecase or proper explanation of when you would use them vs other graphs or the comparative advantage of that type of graph; the details given are not useful for the data analyst position. Practice exercises do not give you goals to complete, so you cannot attempt to work through an example on your own—you must follow very small and concrete steps, which does not prepare you for performing the task on your own and the analysis skills you need to complete similar tasks on your own. In addition, they skip over giving you practice of foundational skills (data cleaning, creating appropriate pivot tables, etc.) This is especially a problem because this field (data analytics) is a space which is the OPPOSITE of handholding, and needing to understand how to solve problems is 95% of the job. Time estimates are extremely overstated (such as an estimated 10 minutes to read 2 sentences of summary, or 45 minutes to complete an Excel task that takes 5-10 minutes if following instructions provided, or 45 minutes for a 5 minute submission) to the point that the estimated 13 hours of course can easily be completed in 4 hours (when you exclude the parts of the videos which are summarizing “we are about to tell you” and “we just told you how to…”)

The final assignment is terrible, it only allows you to submit 1 file for Part 2 and specify it's for "Sales". It's really confusing where to submit the file for "Service", I combined these 2 files and submitted it together, but the reviewer didn't find it and gave me 0 points. it's not their fault, it's because the setting is unclear. The score doesn't affect anything, but it makes me look like a joker after spending an hour completing it and spending 10 minutes trying to export it as a PDF only to find out that I have to use Edge instead of Chrome.

I wish the data viz customization lessons went deeper into how the different options can tell better stories. This course only went over cosmetic changes, without even explaining when such cosmetic changes could be leveraged effectively. Also, while I understand that Cognos is included in this program as an IBM product, it feels quite clunky and counterintuitive to use in 2025.

You have to sign up for Cognos Analytics, which is not for free after 30 Days. There are so many applications, which are open source.

the cognos analytics teaching is very short and very hard to understand especially with the voice over in that video

Nice to see lots of labs in this work however, the content and step by steps for cognos and looker and out dated

Some instructions for Cognos do not match the actual user interface of the current version of Cognos.

The instructors voice very low and seems not very enthusiastic about the program

I got stuck activating the IBM Cognos module for module # 2. I reached out for help and no one helped me. I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to this course for my studies.

Course ok, but the fact that i do not get a certificate unless i'm forced to upload my personal data is very bad. At least told this before I started the 10 courses IBM!

just making us watch the video without providing excel files is not really helpful. I stopped taking the course and found another one.

Couldn't complete 90% of the course. I am not spending money on a system no one has ever heard of to learn a few things.
