This is primarily aimed at first- and second-year undergraduates interested in engineering or science, along with high school students and professionals with an interest in programming.
This course aims to teach the students different types of engineering materials (polymers, metals and ceramics) and biomaterials used for additive manufacturing. Background on each material type, benefits and limitations will be given discussion the best applications for various materials. Additive manufacturing methods for different materials will also be evaluated.
This module focuses on polymeric materials and polymer matrix composites. Properties and additive manufacturing of these materials are investigated.
